HMTCA Women's Track and Field Champs 2025

We hope you can enjoy some of the exciting Spring Athletics championships taking place in the next two weeks! Congratulations to all our students who competed, and to those who took home top prizes in the CRAL (Capital Region Athletic League) Track and Field Championships on May 27 at Weaver High School against teams from Hartford, New Britain, Windsor and more.

HMTCA Girls (pictured above) were crowned CRAL Champions and University Boys and Girls came in 2nd place (pictured below.)

At the May 29, 2025 CRAL Baseball Championship Game, the HTMCA/SMSA co-op team tipped a win from University/Classical at the University of St. Joseph’s baseball stadium, while the Classical/University Softball team won the title from the Capital Prep/SMSA co-op.

CONGRATULATIONS to SMSA's unstoppable Girls Flag Football team for taking home the Conference Championship with a big win over Aerospace/Comp-Si. Shoutout to Valyzah Martinez and Celiani Gonzalez for earning All-Conference Honors. The Lady Tigers are still undefeated with a 7-0 record.

Middle Schools Sports Update

We have worked so hard in the past several years to establish middle school sports here at HPS  to foster engagement and health for our grade 6 through 8 learners and to prepare them for sports at the high school level. At our HPS Middle School Spring Sports Championships on May 24 at Manchester High School, 37 Hartford middle school student-athletes qualified and competed in the CT Middle School State Outdoor Track and Field Championship Meet.
