SGC Nominations are officially open for MLK parent representation on the Student Governance Council. Please see attached documents for more information. The first task of the SGC this year will be assisting us in selecting a Principal for this upcoming year. Please consider volunteering your time. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am willing to fill out your nomination form over the phone. We need your support to make our school even greater for our current students and those that come behind them. 7 parents are needed for a complete SGC. I look forward to working with our parent leadership and making memories and effective change this school year.

The Hartford Federation of Teachers (HFT) presents a Book Giveaway for families and teachers on Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Hartford Convention Center, 100 Columbus Boulevard, Hartford, CT, Exhibit Hall B.
Books are available on a first-come, first served basis, so arrive early!
Parents and guardians are welcome to choose up to 1O FREE books per child for home libraries, with a 30 books maximum limit per family.
Educators and school staff may choose up to 50 FREE books for their classrooms.
